Rainy day. We went to the Dillon Farmers’ Market in a
drizzle with John and Jeaninne Thompson. Thinking of a hike, but too damp. Went home to
read. Dinner out in Frisco after it cleared up.
Saturday 4 Aug 2018
We road with the Thompson’s to Keystone where there was a
beer and blues festival later after we left. It was crowded so coffee was a
little bit of a grind! The girls road back to Frisco the way we came. The boys went
on the other side of Lake Dillon over Swan Mountain – some nice climbing and 1
mile shorter that the out and back route.
Sunday 5 Aug 2018
Raining. We met the Mumby’s at the Butterhorn for breakfast
to catch up. Marc had ridden the Copper Triangle ride Saturday – 79 miles,
three passes and 6000 ft of climbing.
Lake Dillon is down 8 ft and was dropping at 4 inches a day
until someone in Frisco complained and now it is 1 inch per day, supposedly. The
lake is owned by the city of Denver and used for 40% of their water.
Cocktails at our place by the Ten Mile Creek. Dinner with Bill and Frances at Tavern West near out place.

Road to Keystone with Ed and Linda Rogoff, friends from
Tucson. They drove over from Avon where they are staying for the summer. Lunch with
them at Bread + Salt in Frisco. Dinner at home.
Wednesday 8 Aug 2018
Road the bike path 12 miles and 1500 ft of climbing to Vail
Pass with Lauve and Bill. It was beautiful, cool day. Coffee in Copper Mountain
Village on the way back down. We are starting to get some smoke from the
California fires.
